Meta Spirituality · Trial 3
One reading, and the weight of their problems fell by two thirds.
Two thousand and four people took part in the largest randomized trial ever run on a self-help book. Half read The Meta Self once and half did not. The readers were not taught to manage their problems better, and their problems did not have to be solved one by one. What fell was how heavy those problems felt, along with the anxiety that came with them, and the effects were still in place a month later.
